Truck Driver – Class 5
Permanent, Full Time
Based in Bell Block

• Are you a class 5 heavy vehicle operator?

• Are you team player who thrives off doing it right the first time, every time?

We are on the hunt for experienced and hardworking Class 5 Heavy Vehicle Operators to work out of Taranaki.

Interested? This is what you’ll do:

• Work as part of a dedicated team or operate a wide variety of units depending on the needs of our clients which vary on a day to day basis, both options available
• Prioritising safety and compliance at all times while completing load plans and daily logs
• Maintain a clean and well-presented fleet of vehicles, daily inspection of vehicles and reporting of any defects or damage
• Drive in an exemplary manner, following NZTA rules and regulations as well as adhering to all Symons Transport policies and procedures.
• Liaise with all customers, members of the public and work colleagues politely and professionally at all times
• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
• Have good time management skills and be able to follow instructions/directions well
• Use of tablets to accurately record hours, mileage, load plans and any other relevant information.
• Be a well-presented team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Logistics Coordinator
Full Time Position

• Are you an experienced dispatch or logistics expert?
• Are you looking for an exciting opportunity with a reputable company?
• Do you have a passion for driving change?

We are on the hunt for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join the team. The role will begin with up to 3 months shift work to help cover our busy milk season, during this initial period you will be required to work days, nights and weekends.
After the milk season finishes you will be required to work days only, with rotational weekend work.

What will you do?
• Be a key part of our Milk Logistics team, together managing a large fleet of units carting milk from all over NZ
• Establish a strong relationship with one of our biggest customers ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
• Be a reliable point of contact for our drivers, ensuring their health and wellbeing is made a top priority
• Take sole charge during your rostered nightshifts

What do you need?
• Experience in a logistics or dispatch role highly desirable.
• Outstanding communication skills, problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft suite.
• A high level of professionalism in everything you do.
• Flexibility, there will be overtime and weekend work required.
