Based in Bell Block

We are on the hunt for experienced and hardworking Class 5 Heavy Vehicle Operators to work out of Taranaki. 

Interested? This is what you’ll do:

• Work as part of a dedicated team or operate a wide variety of units depending on the needs of our clients which vary on a day to day basis, both options available
• Prioritising safety and compliance at all times while completing load plans and daily logs
• Maintain a clean and well-presented fleet of vehicles, daily inspection of vehicles and reporting of any defects or damage
• Drive in an exemplary manner, following NZTA rules and regulations as well as adhering to all Symons Transport policies and procedures.
• Liaise with all customers, members of the public and work colleagues politely and professionally at all times
• Comply with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
• Have good time management skills and be able to follow instructions/directions well
• Use of tablets to accurately record hours, mileage, load plans and any other relevant information.
• Be a well-presented team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail

We are on the hunt for an experienced and hardworking Class 5 Heavy Vehicle Operator based in  Bell Block. This is a full-time permanent position. You will need to have at least 5 years swinglift experience and be able to build and maintain excellent relationships with our clients.

You will ideally need to have at least 3 years flatdeck experience and be able to build and maintain excellent relationships with our clients.

We are looking for experienced P endorsed bus/van drivers to join our VIP team on permanent part time basis. You will need to be friendly, reliable and be ready to take the wheel.  Being a VIP Driver is more than being professional and driving a bus, it is also about looking after passengers, all of which takes a special skill set.  We work hard to provide the very best quality of service, so it is vital that we recruit the right people for this important job.

Warehouse, Yardman, Machine Operator

Symons Energy Services are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator for our Bell Block site. This is a permanent, full time position. The hours are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4pm with occasional weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintaining an accurate inventory
• Receipting and dispatch of materials in and out of the warehouse as per customer request
• Contribute to a safe working environment
• General housekeeping and quality control
• Loading/unloading of containers

About you:
• Forklift experience essential - Licence preferred.
• Wheels Licence a bonus
• DG handlers certificate advantageous
• Safety conscious and a team player

About the role:

Based in Bell Block and reporting to the Group General Manager, this newly created permanent role will be responsible and accountable for the employee lifecycle and experience. This includes leading recruitment, capability building, employee relations and performance management.

You will predominately work within the Symons Transport (STL) umbrella however, you will also be required to work alongside the Symons Energy Services (SES) Manager to manage engagement, training, and recruitment of frontline SES employees.

• Accountable for employee lifecycle and experience, from recruitment, on-boarding, training, and terminating.

What do I need to succeed?
• 3 or more years’ experience and demonstrated success in a similar role

Logistics Coordinator
Permanent Full Time 
Based in Bell Block

• Are you an experienced dispatch or logistics expert?
• Are you looking for an exciting opportunity with a reputable company?

We are on the hunt for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join the team. The role will begin with up to 3 months shift work to help cover our busy milk season, during this initial period you will be required to work days, nights and weekends.
After the milk season finishes you will be required to work days only, with rotational weekend work.

What will you do?
• Be a key part of our Milk Logistics team, together managing a large fleet of units carting milk from all over NZ
• Establish a strong relationship with one of our biggest customers ensuring their expectations are exceeded.
• Be a reliable point of contact for our drivers, ensuring their health and wellbeing is made a top priority
• Take sole charge during your rostered nightshifts

What do you need?
• Experience in a logistics or dispatch role highly desirable.
• Outstanding communication skills, problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft suite.
• A high level of professionalism in everything you do.
• Flexibility, there will be overtime and weekend work required.
